This past weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the Wizard World Comic Con in Nashville, courtesy of Wikia. Much thanks to them, as it was a great experience and I got to attend some neat panels, such as a presentation by Jim Cummings, who Star Wars fans will know as w:c:starwars:Hondo Ohnaka (and who, yes, will be returning as the voice of Ohnaka in the character's upcoming appearances on Star Wars Rebels) and also one by Michael Golden, who worked on one of the Star Wars comics. In non-Star Wars related news, I attended a major panel featuring Jewel Staite and Adam Baldwin, known for appearing together on the show Firefly, as well as a thoughtful panel about strong female characters in media.

I've got a lot more coming in the next couple days, once I've had a chance to sleep and am fully settled in. In the meantime, enjoy a few Star Wars-related photos from the convention:

Star Wars Fan Pop Merchandise

The convention floor was packed with merchandise of various types for sale. Pretty much everything you could conceivably imagine, from a print from Frozen featuring autographs of all of the major stars going for about $1,000 to swag from just about anything that's ever been popular in pop-culture that you could think of, from The Hunger Games to Kingdom Hearts. Above is a picture of Fan Pop figures from the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Star Wars Prints and More

Custom prints featuring amusing memes from the Internet were a popular item on display for sale. For example - "REGRETS: Those were the droids you were looking for." You can also see Han Solo in carbonite, as well as plenty of non-Star Wars stuff, like a King Kong print.

Young Kylo Ren

Cosplay was on full display throughout the convention. I saw everything from video game characters like Mario and Luigi to various types of animals with fuzzy ears. Here's a photo of a young Kylo Ren. I made sure to call him "Mr. Ren" - after all, you wouldn't want to disresprect someone with a lightsaber like that. I suppose he may be known as Lord Ren or something, but until we find out, "Mr." will have to do.

Trooper Cosplay

Here is a group of troopers. Very colorful outfits, definitely not Empire issue. One of them even has the starbird from Star Wars Rebels.

That's all for now, but keep an eye out for my thoughts on the various panels and more!
