On an Electronic Arts Fiscal Year 2014 Quarter 1 earnings call earlier this evening, EA Games Label President Frank Gibeau spoke a bit about the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront video game being worked on by EA subsidiary DICE. According to Mr. Gibeau, and as reported by VideoGamer.com:
- We showed 22 seconds of where we're going with it and the fan response was very positive. The DICE team is well into development on that product already, so we feel very bullish about our shooter rotation over the next several years."
Gibeau also went on to confirm that the game has a "third-person component," which likely means that there will be a first person and third person option. The original Star Wars: Battlefront and Star Wars: Battlefront II also had this same option.
