The official Star Wars Instagram account posted a special Star Wars Day selfie with Bob Iger, the chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company, and none other than Chewbacca himself. The official Star Wars UK Twitter account has confirmed (see update below) Speculation is suggesting that it could be the costume Peter Mayhew will wear in Star Wars Episode VII. Take a look:
As many fans have noted, this costume is could be a return to form for the character, matching his original trilogy look rather than the newer costume Mayhew wore for his brief appearance in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
UPDATE: The Star Wars UK tweet has been deleted. Matt Martin, Manager of Digital Content and Community Relations at Lucasfilm, has tweeted that the Star Wars UK tweet was speculation and should not be taken as confirmation of the official Chewbacca costume.
