During a press tour for her upcoming film Kick-Ass 2, Chloë Grace Moretz was asked by MTV if she would be interested a part in Star Wars Episode VII.
- "I mean, obviously there's interest. It's Star Wars. I'd kill to be a part of that franchise, but I don't know. J.J., I'll give you my phone number. You can text me."
In late 2012, there were rumors that Matthew Vaughn, the director of the first Kick-Ass as well as X-Men: First Class, was under consideration to be the director of Star Wars Episode VII. Part of the rumor was that he pitched Moretz as the lead in the new Star Wars sequel. This rumor went away once J.J. Abrams was given the directorial gig, but that doesn't mean Moretz being in Star Wars isn't possible.
