Star Wars Rebels may not be the only Star Wars television show on the horizon. Variety recently spoke with ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee and asked him whether the Disney-owned network would see any Lucasfilm properties on their channel.

"We started conversations with them," Lee said of Lucasfilm programming, and he said that he has a "glint in his eye" now that Lucasfilm is a Disney subsidiary.

A potential Star Wars series wouldn't be the first Disney blockbuster to have a show on ABC. After the wild success of The Avengers and the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the series was expanded onto television, with Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premiering on ABC this fall. ABC has also found success with Once Upon a Time, a show based on fairy tails that's heavily inspired by the iconic Disney animated films.

Might Star Wars be next? Lee did not specifically mention Star Wars, but it's the obvious Lucasfilm property to be given a place on ABC's programming line-up.
