Max von Sydow is an Academy Award-nominated Swedish actor who will be playing an unspecified role in Star Wars Episode VII.[2] Outside of Star Wars, von Sydow has a wide range of acting credits dating back to 1949. One of his most famous roles is that of Father Merin in The Exorcist. Other credits include Through a Glass Darkly, The Greatest Story Ever Told, Three Days of the Condor, Flash Gordon, Never Say Never Again, Dune, Minority Report, and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, amongst many others.[1]
