From what we've heard, this weapon, whatever it may be, is likely organic in nature, and may coincide with the whereabouts of a character who is missing, a character that the new generation of heroes—Finn (John Boyega), Rey (Daisy Ridley), and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isacc)—set out to find. With the help of Han Solo and Princess Leia, of course.

Luke Skywalker.

Past rumors about Luke's whereabouts have included him being in captivity, as well as being in seclusion because he has become …

Major New Rumor About the Episode VII Villains

Now, This is Podcasting, the podcast for MakingStarWars.net, has a huge new rumor about who the villains—that's right: villains, plural—might be for Star Wars Episode VII.

The Rumor
According to this report, the villains in Episode VII are reportedly a group of Jedi hunters, sort of like the Inquisitors (but their source didn't call them that). These are apparently adepts, or at least disciples of adepts, from a group of Force users that Emperor Palpatine created during the time of the Galactic Empire. These Jedi hunters were never Sith, but worked to ensure the survival of the Sith and were quite powerful. With the death of the Emperor, their goal is reportedly to resurrect the Sith, and are not the galaxy's ultimate evil power.

Apparently, if t…

RUMOR: Adam Driver Playing Han and Leia's Son

.]] Jedi News is reporting a source as saying that Adam Driver, who was confirmed as a member of the Star Wars Episode VII cast in the recent casting announcements, will be playing the son of Han Solo and Princess Leia. Previous rumors indicated that Driver would be playing the villain—and, if this rumor is true, he will sort of be the villain. According to the report:

"He will be playing the son of Han and Leia, and it seems he will be seduced to the Dark Side, and a main plot point for the movie will be their attempt to rescue him.”

This information is similar to what we here at Fanpedia have heard about in recent months. Given that Harrison Ford is also rumored to have a "gigantic" role in the new film, it would make sense that much of the story w…

Rumored Episode VII Working Title

Does Star Wars Episode VII have a working title? According to Harry Knowles of Ain't It Cool News, it absolutely does. The alleged AICN source claims that the working title of Episode VII is Star Wars Episode VII: The Ancient Fear, and that the title refers to a villainous character who will be played by Max von Sydow. This villain will reportedly put Pazuzu, the demon that von Sydow faced off against in The Exorcist, to shame.

Personally I doubt that this is the title. Back in 2004, AICN reported that the title to Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith would be "The Creeping Fear," and we know how that turned out. "The Ancient Fear," however, does sound like it could be plausible, and it's an interesting title. When you break it down, it's …

Could This Be the First Look at Episode VII's Chewbacca?

The official Star Wars Instagram account posted a special Star Wars Day selfie with Bob Iger, the chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company, and none other than Chewbacca himself. The official Star Wars UK Twitter account has confirmed Speculation is suggesting that it could be the costume Peter Mayhew will wear in Star Wars Episode VII. Take a look:

could be a return to form for the character, matching his original trilogy look rather than the newer costume Mayhew wore for his brief appearance in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

UPDATE: The Star Wars UK tweet has been deleted. Matt Martin, Manager of Digital Content and Community Relations at Lucasfilm, has tweeted that the Star Wars UK tweet was speculation and should not be taken as confirmation o…

RUMOR: More Casting Announcements, Including a Female Lead, Coming Soon

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Lucasfilm will soon be making additional casting announcements, following up on today's announcement that the stars of the original trilogy would be returning, along with a host of new younger talent. THR reports that one of these casting announcements will be a female lead, which follows some mixed reaction today about how only one of the new actors—Daisy Ridley—is a woman.

Previous reports by THR and other outlets have said that the film was potentially seeking a mixed-race actress in her late 20s. It is known that Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o (12 Years a Slave) met with J.J. Abrams. Rumors have also swirled around Maisie Richardson-Sellers, a relatively unknown British actress. A few months ago…
