Anthony Daniels is a British actor best known for his portrayal of C-3PO in all six Star Wars films, as well as the television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It is rumored that he will be returning to the role of C-3PO for Star Wars Episode VII, but this has not been confirmed.
Involvement in upcoming projectsEdit
In April 2013, Anthony Daniels was asked by Digital Spy about whether he would be returning to the role of C-3PO in Star Wars Episode VII. According to Daniels, "it's all very early days and I don't want to wear anybody out by speculating or letting you waste your energy by saying 'What do you think?'" He further stated that while he is not waiting for the phone call asking him to return, "it's always nice when it rings." Daniels went on to further say that he is pleased with The Walt Disney Company's acquistion of Lucasfilm Ltd., Kathleen Kennedy becoming President of Lucasfilm, and the selection of J.J. Abrams as the director of Star Wars Episode VII.
C-3PO plot hintsEdit
We have compiled known statements about what the involvement of C-3PO in Star Wars Episode VII and the rest of the sequel trilogy could be. These statements are vague at best, and often contradictory, but most of the statements have originated with George Lucas himself:
- In 1980, 1981, and 1983, Lucas stated that C-3PO and R2-D2 might be the only characters who would continue through all nine films.
